Terms of Use

1. Accepting these terms

By downloading or using Brushee, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Brushee is licensed to you through Apple's App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA") also applies. If these terms and the Standard EULA disagree, these terms apply, as far as the law allows.

2. Who can use Brushee

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to use apps like Brushee without a parent's consent, if that is higher.

3. Your account

You can use Brushee without an account. Some features, such as AI Studio and Brushee Pro backups, need you to sign in with Apple or Google. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your Apple or Google sign-in secure. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.

4. Brushee Pro

Brushee Pro is an optional, auto-renewing subscription that unlocks extra features and content.

• Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store when you confirm the purchase.
• Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Managing and cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Free trials. If we offer a free trial, it turns into a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then.
• Refunds. Apple handles all payments and refunds. To ask for a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Price changes. We may change the price of Brushee Pro. Apple will tell you before a new price applies to your subscription, and you can cancel if you don't want to continue.

5. AI Studio

AI Studio turns a photo you choose into a picture you can paint. When you use it:

• Only upload photos you own or have the right to use.
• Don't upload anything illegal, harmful, hateful or sexual, or photos of other people without their consent.
• We check uploads automatically and may refuse a photo, or remove a canvas, that breaks these rules or that our providers won't process.
• AI results can be imperfect or unexpected: a canvas may not look exactly like your photo. That's part of the fun, but please don't rely on it for anything important.
• AI Studio has monthly limits on how many canvases you can create, shown in the app.

6. Your content

Your photos and paintings are yours. We don't claim ownership of them. You give us a limited permission to store, process and show your content to you only as needed to run Brushee (for example, to turn a photo into a canvas or back up your Gallery), and that permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

You're welcome to keep your finished paintings for personal use and share them, for example with friends or on social media.

7. Our content

The pictures in Brushee's catalog, and the app itself, belong to us or to those who license them to us. We let you use them inside the app for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment. Please don't copy, extract, resell or redistribute the catalog artwork or other app assets outside of sharing your own finished paintings.

8. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where the law allows it;
• scrape, bulk-download or otherwise harvest content or data from Brushee or our servers;
• get around AI Studio limits, subscriptions or other restrictions;
• interfere with, overload or attack our servers, or use Brushee to break the law or harm others.

9. Ads

The free version of Brushee shows ads, served by Google AdMob. How ads use your data, and how to change your choices, is explained in our Privacy Policy. We aren't responsible for the content of third-party ads or the sites they lead to.

10. Changes, availability and ending

We keep improving Brushee, so features and content may change, and we may pause or stop parts of the service. We don't promise it will always be available or error-free.

You can stop using Brushee at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we stop offering Brushee Pro, we will tell you in advance.

11. Disclaimers

Brushee is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms, including any implied promises that the app will suit a particular purpose or work without interruption. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived by contract.

12. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about Brushee is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Brushee Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50. This doesn't limit liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if a change is significant. If you keep using Brushee after a change, the new terms apply.
